Run It Up Major 4

Call of Duty Major 4

The Call of Duty League has revealed the new location and timing of 2023’s Major Four, and it won’t include a live audience which is really sad for both fans who really want to meet the players and for the players as the atmosphere will not be in the venue really taking away what is so fun about call of duty the players and fan engagement

Major IV will now take place on LAN in Columbus, Ohio, from April 20 to 23. The preceding three weekends will consist of the online qualifier portion. The league will return to a live audience for Major V in Toronto.

The New York Subliners were supposed to host the Major Four, but they were forced to cancel due to "a number of problems," leaving the league racing to find a replacement.

The event will continue from a broadcast studio in Ohio because a replacement host from among the 12 teams in the league was not identified. There will still be a number of additional spectator LANs held throughout the year, so fans who wanted to attend the event in person won't be disappointed.

Later this year, there are plans to try to organize the CDL Championship Weekend in Las Vegas.

Call of Duty League returns to YouTube in non-exclusive deal. Here’s why that’s great for the CDL

Since the Call of Duty League is returning to YouTube Gaming, fans of the league won't have to limit their viewing options to the Google-owned service. Instead, the CDL revealed today that it will stream games concurrently on YouTube and Twitch beginning on Friday, April 7, during the second week of the Major Four qualifications.

Since the CDL's introduction in 2020, it has never been broadcast on more than one streaming platform, thus this announcement is significant. Prior to making the announcement that it would switch to Twitch before the 2023 season began, the league had spent its first three seasons as an exclusive on YouTube.
